Wow – we had a blast this past Sunday at KidVenture: Hoedown on the Hall! KidVenture is an event we do twice a year for the specific purpose of small groups having fun together and building stronger relationships. We’re so grateful for all our amazing volunteers who showed up ready for a hoedown… and a day the kids will never forget!

The UpStreet staff, ready for action!

Banjo players set the mood at each entrance.
Wheat straw everywhere!
Our fabulous coaches in their cowboy and cowgirl best!
Our Host Team makes a great first impression by greeting each new family and guiding them through the registration and check-in process. We’re so thankful for them!

Yeeeee-HAW!

Every week, our fabulous greeters welcome parents and kids, and get the kids safely checked into their groups. We’re much obliged, y’all!

In large group, our hosts led the kids through some fun hillbilly trivia. What’cha think – how much does this-here pun’kin weigh?

The energy was through the roof!

Our large group volunteers came to play… with some vintage Western fashion…

…don’t forget the fringe…

…to THIS! Now that’s bringing the fun!
Our tech teams got into the act, too. Howdy, gents!

Everyone was ready for a party!

We closed large group with a fun line dance, assisted by our rockin’ worship singers.
Our small group leaders made the most of this opportunity to really have fun and connect with their kids.

Our 4th and 5th graders dressed their leaders up as scarecrows at the end of the morning. Now that’s dedication!
What a great day!
Our hope was that every child would go home talking about what a great time they had and how much FUN they had with their small group leader. And when next Sunday rolls around… we want them jumping out of bed and excited to be back on UpStreet again. It’s exciting to think how God will use those relational connections in the future.
Thanks to all our volunteers for making it such a wild and crazy success!
